    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for planning, processing and performing all jobs in an efficient manner with minimum assistance from the supervisor
    • Develop and implement software solutions for use in an Object Oriented Architecture
    • Perform peer code reviews
    • Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports.
    • Review and repair legacy code.
    • Responsible for development of new programs, analyzes current programs and processes, and makes recommendations which yield a more cost effective product
    • Test new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate; assists lower-level programmers with programming assignments.
    • Understands and provides guidance on the system view of product subsystems, platforms and technologies for a product line.




    Experience Requirements

    • 4+ years progressive experience as an engineer within the appropriate field of study to include software development using C in .NET environment.
    • Experience with ETL, data warehousing and reporting environments (SQL Server Reporting; SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, Dundas, etc.)
    • Good understanding of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
    • Demonstrated technical domain knowledge by being current on engineering design principles, concepts, and technologies.
    • Exposure to the engineering process and experience working with business analysts and or subject matter experts on solution development
    • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with enterprise and desktop applications, including all Microsoft Products
    • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment


    Skills and Abilities

    • Good working knowledge of legacy C and C# in a .NET environment.
    • Good working knowledge using MS SQL Server
    • Demonstrated technical domain knowledge by being current on engineering design principles, architectures and advancements in clinical and engineering concepts and technologies.
    • Demonstrated organizational, functional and leadership expertise to lead a small team on a project, subsystem or platform initiative.
    • Sound problem-solver and critical thinker, able to conduct systematic analysis and develop solutions to complex scientific and/or engineering problems.
    • Demonstrated passion for improving the product/sub-system and patient/customer experience through technological advances while learning from past business and personal failures
    • Demonstrated ability to influence, multitask and deliver results with internal/external cross-functional resources on small to mid-sized programs or platform initiatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to take direction from product/subsystem program leadership and works independently to deliver results on time with quality
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills and respected by technical subsystem or functional team.
